Tensegrity refers
to a system that stabilizes itself
mechanically because of the way
tensional and compressive forces are
distributed and balanced within the
structure. As soon as pressure is
redistributed in the structure, the
energy stored in the tensed
filaments causes the structure to
spring back to its original shape”
–
Donald Ingber, MD, PhD.
As we compensate for and cope with
the stresses of life on the physical
as well as the emotional level, the
integrity of our structure is
compromised. The loads and demands
that are put on us throughout our
lives and the loads and demands we
place on ourselves compromise the
Tensegrity of our body, mind, and
spirit. When we are living in
survival mode, when our lives are
dictated by the loads on our system
rather than on our full potential,
we are living out of Tensegrity.
In exploring the unique
constellation that makes you who you
are, you are moving out of survival
mode, where the stresses dictate
your physical, emotional, and
spiritual functioning, and into your
true potental. As we invite the
layers to unravel within the Self,
within relationship, and within
family, we begin to see more clearly
the Tensegrity within. As you gain
balance and fortitude, you begin to
manifest your full potential within
the body, mind, and spirit. This is
Tensegrity in action. |
