Come learn how the TARA Approach can
support you, your family, and your
community. The TARA Approach is a
revolutionary understanding and
design that centers on bringing the
nervous system back into balance
after overwhelming experience, such
as trauma and shock. These
experiences are evidenced in our
lives as the patterns that inhibit
us physically, emotionally, and
spiritually. The TARA Approach is an
accessible tool available to all, no
matter what your previous experience
is. This evening will cover:
• How the TARA Approach works, and
how you might benefit from learning
more about the TARA Approach.
• Why the state of the nervous
system determines our capacity for
physical, emotional, and relational
health
• Simple tools to use with yourself
and with others that resolve nervous
system overload.

INTRODUCTION

Thursday, September 18th,
5:30-8:30
Friday, September19 th, 10-7
Early registration by September 1st
, 2008: $175.
After September 1st , 2008: $250.

September 1st , $150.
The TARA Approach provides a path to
understand, treat, and resolve
patterns that inhibit us physically,
emotionally, and spiritually.
Connective tissue holds the memory
of our entire lives. By using subtle
touch on specific areas of the body
you reclaim your innate health along
with your personal truth.
Accumulated tension is released,
allowing your body, mind, and spirit
to reorganize, unwind, and find true
balance and wellbeing. (continued >

At the heart of the TARA Approach is
self-care that supports personal
transformation, evolution, and
energetic renewal. Developed by Dr.
Stephanie Mines, the TARA Approach
is specifically geared to bring the
nervous system back into balance
after experiencing overwhelming
experience, such as trauma or shock.
After many years of research and
clinical practice, Dr. Mines
combined her training in the
treatment of trauma with her studies
of energy medicine to create an
empowerment based healing system
available to all.
In this introductory training you
will:
* Learn the twenty-six areas of the
body that, when touched, balance the
nervous system;
* Understand how the body responds
to overwhelming experience;
* Practice simple energy medicine
treatments that will benefit you
immediately;
* Experience how to treat others
easily and safely;
* Cultivate resources that will
enhance your health and the health
of others.

LEVEL
ONE TRAINING:
ATTUNING THROUGH PULSE, LANGUAGE,
AND DIALOGUE
Saturday, September 20th, 10-7
Sunday, September 21st, 10-7
Early Registration before September
1st , 2008: $475,
After September 1st, 2008: $575
If you are registering for both
Level 1 and Level 2: early
registration is $950, after
September 1st, $1100
The areas of greatest restriction in
our bodies are often caused by
overwhelming shock and trauma. Using
the TARA Approach to assess and
treat the roots of these
restrictions allows you to move to
the source of symptoms more
efficiently and accurately, thereby
fostering long lasting health and
healing. When we attune to the
connective tissue using the art and
skills of pulse listening and
dialogue, the body tells us the
entire story of our lives. The
capacity to attune and assess using
the pulses, language, and dialogue
is critical to working with the
overwhelming shock and trauma that
compromise us structurally,
developmentally, and spiritually.
Emphasis in the Level 1 training is
on attunement, assessment, and
treatment strategies. The learning
environment will be highly
experiential. Self-Care is a
prerequisite to take this class. In
the Level 1 training you will learn:
* How to assess the energetic areas
of greatest restriction through the
pulses;
* How to design treatment plans
based on pulse attunement and
assessment;
* How to use the energy of language
and specific dialogue skills to
resolve shock and trauma as well as
to initiate structural,
developmental, emotional, and
spiritual change;
* Evidence based information on how
our neurology is connected to our
fascia and how to navigate these
structural and nervous system
highways through TARA Approach
assessment and treatment models.

LEVEL
2 TRAINING: UNDERSTANDING OUR
DEEPEST WOUNDING, UNDERSTANDING OUR
GREATEST STRENGTHS: THE PRENATAL
PERIOD
Friday, September 26th, Friday,
1-5:30
Saturday, September 27th, 10-7
Sunday, September 28th, 10-7
Early registration before
September 10th, 2008: $525.
After September 10th, 2008, $625.
If you are registering for both
Level 1 and Level 2: early
registration is $950, after
September 10th, $1100
Our experiences from conception
through birth build the blueprint
from which our structural,
emotional, relational, spiritual,
and energetic developmental
capacities are formed. When we
identify, treat, and repattern our
earliest experiences of trauma our
capacity for health, wellbeing,
relationship, and balance grow
exponentially. In understanding the
deepest routes of our wounding we
can begin the process of reclaiming
our lives. In this reclamation we
free ourselves from the limitations
of the past and orient towards the
infinite possibilities and strengths
we embody in the present moment.
This training will be highly
experiential. The prerequisites for
Level 2 are Self-Care and Level 1
In this training you will:
* Understand how specific energetic
and developmental milestones
throughout the prenatal and birth
experience shape us;
* Be able to understand, assess, and
treat likely obstacles present
throughout the prenatal and birth
experience;
* Learn to assess and treat yourself
and others using the Rivers of
Splendor, also known as the
extraordinary meridians, which are
energetic reservoirs formed
prenatally to support optimal grow.

The TARA Approach (Tools for
Awakening Resources and Awareness)
is an integrative healthcare system
developed by Dr. Stephanie Mines to
bring balance to the nervous system
after overwhelming experience (shock
and trauma). It has been tested in
clinical trials and is currently in
use in hospitals and healthcare
agencies throughout the world. The
TARA Approach is a body-centered
design that combines subtle touch
with assessment and treatment tools
to resolve the developmental,
emotional, psychological and
physical impacts of unresolved
trauma.
Participants will learn how to use a
map of 26 Sacred Sites on the body
that are keyed to meridian functions
to provide nervous system balance.
Students will leave the training
with a path to empowered self-care
and the gift of attunement. The
importance of sequencing (unlayering
the impacts of traumatic overload),
resourcing (providing solid
reference points for embodiment and
selfhood), and titration (treating
without creating additional
overwhelm) will be demonstrated. The
TARA Approach provides breakthrough
information about the prenatal
origins of health and how to prevent
and treat early trauma.
The TARA Approach can supplement
psychotherapy, bodywork, physical
therapy, and all healthcare
services. It is also completely
self-sufficient and independent as a
comprehensive intervention. This
introductory course is the first in
the certification sequence. It
provides tools for your immediate
benefit and to serve others. The
course stands on its own, or
participants may choose to continue
training through the Foundations
Certification program.
